People reach out and ask me this question in different forms. They cite books they read, articles they saved, Instagram memes full of life hacks but guess what — They are still broke.

What does it mean to be financially independent? It means your assets are working for you instead of you working for assets. How do you get there?

There is a simple and hard truth: Stop being a consumer.

Once you unplug from the noise that we are bombarded with by brands and influencers that tell us what the image of success is, you quickly realize what you need. You not only free your mind but also your resources to actually work for you instead of others.

Nowadays it seems that everyone is a millionaire on Instagram.
The reality is they are not. They are just victims to the fake hype or perpetrating it.
That weekend boat party? rented by the hour. The Mclaren? Rented for the day. The Moet bottles? Just maxed out the credit card for the photo op.
The boxes of LV, Gucci and Prada from that shopping trip? Empty
(People really just buy the boxes to take photos).
